Taryn Sánchez Montesinos, originally from Mexico, is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment. Her interests are urban forest governance, particularly partnerships, and networks that facilitate change, inspire others, and move people forward to face global challenges. Taryn holds an interdisciplinary Master’s in Environment (University of Melbourne), two diplomas in Environment and Sustainable Development and Public Policy and Management, and a Bachelor in Political Science and Public Administration (Universidad Iberoamericana). She held a Fellowship to promote Open Government in the Americas from the Organization of American States (OAS) and is currently a Fellow at the Global Roadmap for Urban Nature-Based Solutions.
